Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced that absentee ballot
\napplications are available now in the Hanover Town Clerk\u2019s Office for all
\nvoters living in Hanover wishing to vote by absentee ballot in the Special
\nDistrict Election for the South Shore Regional Vocational Technical High
\nSchool Building Project. The election will be held Saturday, January 25,
\n2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Media Room at Hanover High School,
\n287 Cedar Street.<\/p>\n
Absentee ballot applications are for use by registered voters who are
\nunable to vote at the polls on Election Day due to:
\n1)\t Absence from the Town of Hanover during normal polling hours (9:00 a.m.
\nto 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025); or
\n2)\tPhysical disability preventing you from going to the polling place; or
\n3)\tReligious belief.<\/p>\n
OR they are for use by non-registered voters who are:
\n1)\t A Massachusetts citizen absent from the state; or
\n2)\tAn active member of the armed forces or merchant marines, their spouse
\nor dependent; or
\n3)\tA person confined in a correctional facility or a jail, except if by
\nreason of felony conviction.<\/p>\n
Applications for absentee ballots must be received by noon on the day
\nbefore the election, in this case, by noon on Friday, January 24th. For
