Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Hanover Town Clerk Catherine Harder-Bernier announced today that nomination
\npapers are now available for the Annual Town Election scheduled to be held
\nMay 17th, 2025. <\/p>\n
\u201cElection Day is set for May 17th and signed nomination papers are due
\nMarch 28th, 2025. At this point in the year, there are a total of ten
\nanticipated open seats. On the ballot this spring will be elections for
\none member of the Select Board for a three year term, one member of the
\nSchool Committee for a three year term, one member of the Board of
\nAssessors for a three year term and one member for a one year term, one
\nmember of the Planning Board for a five year term and one member for a one
\nyear term, one Board of Health member for a three year term, one Trustee of
\nthe Public Library for a three year term, one Town Clerk for a three year
\nterm, and one Moderator for a one year term\u201d, continued Harder-Bernier.<\/p>\n
Interested residents are encouraged to contact the Town Clerk\u2019s Office,
\nany of the related departments, or sitting members of the board or
\ncommittee they are interested in becoming a part of in order to gain more
\ninformation about an open position. <\/p>\n
To run for office, candidates only need to obtain 50 signatures of
\nregistered Hanover voters in order to be placed on the ballot. Candidates
\nfor office have until Friday, March 28th to submit the signed nomination
\npapers to the Registrar\u2019s Office for signature certification. <\/p>\n
