Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
In case you missed it, it’s going to cost money to use the Hanover Transfer
\nstation beginning July 1st, 2025. This is because we, the Town, voted at
\nour December 9, 2024 Special Town Meeting to no longer provide this service
\nfor free and instead make it a self-funding “enterprise fund”, like our
\nwater bills. <\/p>\n
Transfer station permits for the upcoming fiscal year will be available for
\npurchase at the Tax Collector’s Office on the first floor of Hanover Town
\nHall, 550 Hanover Street, and online through UniPay once the portal is
\nactivated for Transfer Station payments, beginning May 1, 2025. Current
\nresidential transfer station permits are valid until June 30, 2025.<\/p>\n
A valid, up-to-date sticker will be required to access the Transfer Station
\nstarting July 1, 2025. Please note that access to the facility will be
\nstrictly enforced for valid permit holders only.<\/p>\n
Operating hours effective July 1, 2025:
\n\u2022\tFriday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
\n\u2022\t8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
Fees will range from $25 per day to $345 per year, with discounts for early
\nbird purchasers, seniors (age 65 and up), and limited (no pit) access
