THE FRIENDS OF THE JOHN CURTIS LIBRARY HAVE ANNOUNCED THAT THEY WILL PAUSE
\nACCEPTING ANY DONATIONS TO THE BOOK ROOM FOR FOUR WEEKS, BEGINNING ON APRIL
\n7TH. <\/p>\n
The Friends are a small group of volunteers who work in the book room to
\nsort through and shelve donations and generally keep the room looking neat
\nand welcoming. Sadly, the volunteers have noted a large increase in the
\nnumber of unsellable donations being left in the room and are having to
\ndeal with disposing of these items. <\/p>\n
The Friends hope that this pause in accepting donations, as well as
\nclarification of guidelines for donations, will allow their volunteers to
\ncontinue to keep the book room appealing to the customers that they very
\nmuch appreciate! They will reopen for donations on May 5th. <\/p>\n
Donation guidelines:
\nBooks and puzzles in good, sellable condition. No musty, moldy, dusty,
\ntorn, or ancient items! Please donate only items that you yourself would
\npurchase!<\/p>\n
