School Vacation Week at John Curtis Library, 534 Hanover Street<\/p>\n
Wednesday, April 23 will feature three ukulele programs presented by
\nmusician and teacher Julie Stepanek. At 3:00 p.m. there will be a story
\ntime with ukulele accompaniment, followed by a craft, for children ages
\nthree to seven years.
\nA Learn to Play Ukulele class for ages 8 to 12 will take place from 4:30
\np.m. to 5:30 p.m., followed by a class for adults and teens from 6:30 p.m.
\nto 7:30 p.m. Participants in both classes will learn how to hold, tune,
\nstrum, fret, read chords and play songs. Ukuleles will be provided.
\nJulie has presented story times and classes at the library several times in
\nthe past and is a wonderful performer and instructor.<\/p>\n
One Up Games will be at the library Friday, April 25 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00
\np.m. for Open Game Play with Virtual Reality, for kids aged 8 and older.
\nThis event has been hugely popular the two previous times the library has
\nhosted it.<\/p>\n
Space is limited for the ukulele classes and the games event. Please
\nregister from the library\u2019s website, johncurtislibrary.com. All of these
\nprograms are funded by the Friends of the Library. Please email
