Summer Reading Kick-Off at John Curtis Library–Monday, June 30, 3:00 p.m.
\nTo start the children’s summer reading season, Jungle Jim will perform his
\nballoon magic show for kids of all ages. Jim has appeared at the library
\ntwice before, and his show is a great hit–particularly at the end, when he
\nencloses himself in a giant balloon. After the show, children will get
\nreading logs to keep track of their reading time and earn prizes all
\nsummer. This summer the reading rewards program is “Read To Bead”–kids
\nreceive fancy beads for their time spent reading, and there will be a
\njewelry-making party at the end of the summer.
\nPlease register at the library’s website, johncurtislibrary.com. The
\nlibrary is located at 534 Hanover Street.
