In celebration of their 10th anniversary, the Silver Street Thrift Shop of
\nthe First Congregational Church of Hanover will be offering 50% off on
\nselected items this Saturday, October 11th. Since 2015, the shop has been
\nsupporting events and outreach of the First Congregational Church. Founded
\nand run by volunteer members of the congregation, it has been open several
\ndays a week with goods donated by the congregation and by local residents.
\nAmong the items available are antiques, vintage items, collectibles, and
\nhome decor.<\/p>\n
According to the staff, \u201cThis began as a lark and has become a terrific
\nresource for neighbors, folks looking for bargains, and the congregation.
\nIt has supported many of our outreach programs locally and around the
\nworld. We thank the community for shopping, donating, and thrifting with
\nus.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Silver Street Thrift Shop is located at Riley Hall, 17 Silver Street in
\nHanover, across from the John Curtis Free Library. Hours are Wednesday and
\nSaturday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Parking is always available at the
\nrear of the hall.<\/p>\n
