“Women in the Trades: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures”
\nDate: Tuesday, October 22
\nTime: 6:00 p.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m.
\nLocation: South Shore Technical Vocational High School, 476 Webster Street<\/p>\n
More women than ever are finding rewarding, hands-on careers in the skilled
\ntrades\u2014and this event helps girls see those opportunities for themselves.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Plymouth County Commission on the Status of Women (PCCSW),
\n“Women in the Trades: Breaking Barriers and Building Futures” gives girls
\nand their caregivers the chance to talk one-on-one with women currently
\nworking in fields such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and more.
\nAttendees can learn about the classes, training, and experiences that lead
\nto successful careers in the trades.<\/p>\n
The event is free. Food and refreshments will be provided, and each
\nattendee will receive a gift bag.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s still space for tradeswomen who would like to participate and
