Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Each year we come together as a nation on Veterans Day to honor and
\ncelebrate the hundreds of thousands of brave Americans who have served our
\ncountry in uniform. Now more than ever, our veterans need our support. In a
\ntime when our country is divided on so many issues, we can surely all agree
\nthat those individuals who risked everything to protect our country and our
\nway of life deserve our support and gratitude. <\/p>\n
That\u2019s why this year, the Hanover Woman\u2019s Club Juniors and the American
\nLegion Post 149 Ladies Auxiliary are participating in \u201cOperation Green
\nLight for Veterans\u201d, an initiative designed to shine a light on the
\nservice of our veterans and their families. <\/p>\n
As part of Operation Green Light for Veterans, the Hanover Woman\u2019s Club
\nJuniors and American Legion Post 149 Ladies Auxiliary will be illuminating
\ntheir homes green for the month of November and they encourage individuals
\nand businesses to join them by changing one light bulb in the entryway of
\nyour house or business to a green bulb. By shining a green light, Hanover
\nresidents let veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.<\/p>\n
While this event is focused on Veterans Day and the month of November, the
\nWoman\u2019s Club Juniors and the Ladies Auxiliary hope it sparks conversation
\nand encourages support for veterans year-round. This Veterans Day, join
\nthem in shining a light of hope and support. Join Operation Green Light and
\nturn Hanover green for our veterans.<\/p>\n
Green bulbs may be purchased at Curry Ace Paint and Hardware, Amazon, Home
