The Hanover Fire and Emergency Management Agency in conjunction with the
\nNational Weather Service, will be hosting a SKYWARN Weather Spotter
\nTraining Class right here in Hanover!<\/p>\n

\nTime: 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

This free training is a great opportunity for residents of all ages, public
\nsafety personnel, and weather enthusiasts to learn how to identify and
\nreport severe weather conditions\u2014including thunderstorms, tornadoes,
\nflooding, and more.
\nTraining offered by the National Weather Service SKYWARN program teaches
\nparticipants how to identify, observe, and report severe weather. The class
\ncovers topics such as thunderstorm development, storm structure,
\nrecognizing dangerous weather features (like tornadoes, hail, and
\nflooding), and how to safely and accurately report what you see to
\nmeteorologists.<\/p>\n
The benefit of the training is that it prepares attendees to serve as the
\n\u201ceyes and ears\u201d of the NWS\u2014providing real-time, ground-level
\ninformation that radar and technology alone can\u2019t capture. These reports
\nhelp meteorologists issue faster and more accurate warnings, ultimately
\nhelping protect lives and property in the community.<\/p>\n
