Walnut Hill Garden Club Launches Spring and Summer Season with Community
\nPlant Sale
\nMoney raised helps fund town wide beautification projects <\/p>\n
The Walnut Hill Garden Club (WHGC) of Hanover is thrilled to announce their
\nupcoming plant sale to help raise funds for community beautification
\nprojects. The sale will take place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Riley
\nHall, 17 Silver Street in Hanover beginning at 9:00 a.m. The plant sale
\nconsists of flowers lovingly grown from the WHGC membership. Plants
\navailable for sale include hostas, lilies, roses and many more annual and
\nperennial plants. Additionally, you can shop for well-loved and gently used
\ngarden supplies directly from our members in our garden treasure tent sale.
\nYou\u2019ll find pots and garden tools as well as other items for the garden. <\/p>\n
\u201cOur biennial plant sale is a wonderful opportunity for the community to
\nfortify their personal gardens with plants lovingly grown from our
\nmembers\u201d, said WHGC President Audrey Barresi. \u201cAnd the money raised
\nfunds our town wide beautification projects including maintaining over 20
\ntraffic islands here in Hanover, as well as planting at the Stetson House
\nand the rain garden located at Riley Hall\u201d, said Barresi. <\/p>\n
The Walnut Hill Garden Club has been promoting the beautification of our
\nhometown of Hanover since 1967, and in addition to traffic island
\nmaintenance, the WHGC provides garden therapy and seasonal floral design
\nworkshops for senior citizens and veterans, support for Hanover High
\nSchool\u2019s Dirty Work Garden Club as well as kindergarten planting
\nprograms, and presents scholarships annually for graduating high school
\nstudents. You can learn more about getting involved with the club at the
\nplant sales — green thumbs and novices alike are all invited to join! <\/p>\n
