It’s finally here! After over a month of voting by mail and two weeks of
\nin-person early voting, the Massachusetts State Election is finally upon
\nus. Here are all of the details you might need to cast your vote on
\nTuesday:<\/p>\n
Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Hanover High School, 287 Cedar
\nStreet on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.<\/p>\n
Hanover schools will be closed, so the building will be open all day and
\nparking will be available in the front and back of HHS. Mom on the Go Food
\nTruck will be slinging grilled cheeses from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The HHS
\nJunior Class will be selling baked goods and the HHS DECA Club will be
\nselling chocolate bars all day. Consider bringing some cash to support
\nthem!<\/p>\n

\n. If you are listed as “inactive”, you will have to fill out paperwork and
\nshow your ID before you can get back in line. <\/p>\n
There are TWO CARDS that make up your ballot. Card One is printed front
\nand back, Card Two just has one side printed. There are nine questions on
\nthose two cards, in addition to the federal, state and district races.

\n. Do your homework now and be ready to vote when you arrive. State
\nregulations only allow you 5 minutes to vote when there is a line and the
\nred book is 88 pages…yikes. The math simply does not work. Be prepared
\nwhen you walk in the door.<\/p>\n

\n. Give your neighbors, who run your elections, adequate time to receive
\nand process your ballot before you freak out. :) We love you and we are
\nworking our tails off, but good solid detailed work takes time. And we
\nneed to sleep. :)<\/p>\n
Did you request a ballot by mail and not return it yet? It has to be
\npostmarked or returned to the ballot drop box outside of Town Hall, 550
\nHanover Street, before 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday in order to be counted. <\/p>\n
In-Person Early Voting, which is accessible to all without an excuse, is
\nover. The last day was Friday. All that’s left for those who will not be
\nin Hanover from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday is in-person absentee
\nvoting on Monday morning from 8:00 a.m. – 12 noon. You have to NOT be in
\nHanover all day on Tuesday to qualify to vote absentee Monday morning. Or
\notherwise physically disabled\/unable to get to the polls. Or have a
\nreligious reason.<\/p>\n
