Interested
\nin community access TV?  With $182K recently appropriated from town =
\nmeeting, it’s
\ncoming to Hanover, but only with your help.  This just in from the =
\nSelectmen!<\/span><\/p>\n

 =
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The
\nCommunity Access TV Committee will be starting from scratch and building =
\nour
\ngovernment, educational and public TV (PEG) for the town.  The =
\ncommittee will
\nbe setting policy, purchasing equipment, hiring, directing employees and
\nmanaging content.  The committee has the responsibility to ensure =
\nHanover
\nschool students and cable subscribers are getting value from the PEG. =
\n The
\nschools have a great interest in using the PEG for educational =
\npurposes.  Also
\ntoday there is no ability to have government meetings live on TV. There =
\nis an
\nongoing funding source, as a percentage of the subscriber’s cable bill =
\ngoes to
\nfunding the PEG committee.  There are many other towns that have a =
\nPEG in place
\nthat the committee can visit to help them understand best practices. =
\n You don’t
\nneed to have a technical background to join the committee; we already =
\nhave two
\ntechnical people on the committee.  It is a one year =
