By now many of you have heard or seen this on the
\nnews.  I was out in Lancaster for the weekend and heard it out
\nthere!  But, in case you have not, I thought it bears mentioning =
\nsince the
\nkids just got out of school this past week.  Send them out to play, =
\nbut
\nkeep an eye on them!  Congratulations to the Hanover Police for =
\ntheir quick
\nresponse and actions that certainly prevented further harm to a young =
\nHanover
\ngirl.  Thanks to Channel 7 News for the following information from =
\nan
\nincident that occurred yesterday:<\/p>\n

HANOVER,
\nMass. — Police say a 6-year-old girl was kidnapped, shackled, and =
\nnearly raped
\nby a neighbor that lives several doors down from her Hanover =
\napartment.  The
\ngirl, whose name is not being released, escaped from the suspect’s =
\napartment.  Her
\nmother reported her missing at 1:30 p.m., telling authorities she had =
\nleft to
\nride her bike around their Franks Lane apartment =
\ncomplex.<\/span><\/p>\n

Officers
\nimmediately began a door-to-door search throughout the complex. Police =
\nthen
\ndiscovered the child moments later after she escaped the apartment of =
\nher
\nalleged 26-year-old captor, neighbor Justin Shine.  Police say =
\nthere was
\nblood on her arms and she was wearing shackles. <\/span><\/p>\n

Shine
\nwill face charges including kidnapping and attempted rape when he is =
\narraigned
\nin court on Monday.  Shine was transported to the hospital after a =
\nbrief
\nstruggle with police during his arrest. His injuries were reportedly
\nself-inflicted. <\/span><\/p>\n
