The Hanover Open Space Committee will offer multiple opportunities for
\nHanover residents to enjoy, maintain and expand our growing trail system
\nthis fall. <\/p>\n
Join the Open Space Committee at 9:00 a.m. this Saturday, September 19th to
\nhelp bring the new Fireworks Trail to completion. Located between King and
\nWinter Streets, the planned loop will connect many existing trails and
\nprovide improved access to town owned property for Hanover residents. Their
\ngoal is to clear up trail access, trim overgrowth in one section of the
\ntrail, and with the hard work of the Hanover DPW, finalize a new parking
\narea enabling all Hanover residents safe parking access to this emerging
\ntrail loop. Meet across the street and just south of 231 King Street.
\nWeather permitting the group will walk the entire trail. Join them for
\ntrimming or walking.<\/p>\n
The Committee will meet October 17th to mark trails on newly acquired
\nStasiluk-Nava Property, funded through our Community Preservation Fund.
\nPlease contact
\nhanoveropenspace@gmail.com to find out specifics on meeting times, team
\nopportunities, and\/or to join our mailing list of ongoing activities. The
\ncommittee is excited to offer access to land that residents voted to
\nconserve at Town Meeting. Once they successfully outline the new trails,
\nthe Open Space team encourages all individuals and\/or local groups to work
\nwith our members to actually cut the trails.<\/p>\n
Open Space is interested in hearing from you, too. Feel free to let them
\nknow about maintenance or improvement ideas near you.<\/p>\n

\nat Planning and Conservation offices at Town Hall, the Library, or the DPW,
\nor download it
