The Town of Hanover Community Preservation Committee will hold its annual
\npublic hearing on <\/p>\n
Wednesday January 13, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. <\/p>\n
in the First Floor Hearing Room at Town Hall.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this meeting will be to present the Committee’s progress to
\ndate and to involve and gather ideas from the public on the needs,
\npossibilities and resources for Community Preservation in Hanover. Pursuant
\nto M.G.L. Chapter 44B, the CPC is charged with studying the needs,
\npossibilities and resources of the Town regarding community preservation, in
\nconsultation with other municipal boards and departments. Based on public
\nhearings and Town studies, the CPC will make recommendations to Town Meeting
\nfor the acquisition, creation and preservation of open space; for the
\nacquisition, preservation, rehabilitation and restoration of historic
\nresources; for the acquisition, creation and preservation of land for
\nrecreational use; for the creation, preservation and support of community
\nhousing; and for the rehabilitation or restoration of open space, land for
\nrecreational use and community housing that is acquired or created as
\nprovided for in M.G.L. Chapter 44B. All residents, members of the general
\npublic, and any person(s) desiring to listen to the discussions or be heard
\non the matter of Community Preservation are invited to attend.<\/p>\n
