Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
Join the Hanover Open Space Committee on March 20th at 10:00 a.m. to explore
\nthe Fireworks Loop Trail along the shoreline of Factory and Lily Ponds.
\nHanover Open Space Committee (OSC) members will guide hikers through the
\napproximately 2 mile loop. Please wear boots\/shoes with good tread and be
\naware that there are a few steep narrow spots along the less developed
\neastern side of the path. An easier walk to the Factory Pond Bridge and
\nback is also available. Convenient parking is available at the trail head
\nand across the street at the site of the future King Street Fields.<\/p>\n

\nHanoverOpenSpace. In addition, the OSC wants for input from the equestrian
\ncommunity in town. Please let us know if you can contribute your
\nspecialized knowledge and needs to our volunteer committee.<\/p>\n
The Hanover OSC was chartered to ensure that the town’s rural character is
\nmaintained and enhanced both through protection of existing resources and
\nacquisition of new properties. It is responsible for planning and
\nfacilitating the improvement of open space, enhancing access to open space,
\nand raising awareness of land use issues. The OSC is also interested in
\nprotecting land that is environmentally sensitive, could be used for passive
\nrecreation, or is important for conserving the look and feel of the town.
\nOur goal is to retain the natural beauty and heritage of the town we live in
\nand love.<\/p>\n
We would also like to hear from you if you are simply interested in more
\ninformation on the work of the Committee. The Open Space Committee meets
\nregularly on the 1st Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Hanover Town Hall.<\/p>\n
