It has been a little while since I have run a charity
\nauction right here “Around Town on the Web”, so there is probably
\nno better time to jump back in the mix…just in time for Father’s
\nDay! What are you going to get Dad for Father’s Day? Or,
\nbetter yet, what are you going to do with your family on Father’s Day?!?!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
How about go to the Red Sox game ON Father’s
\nDay?! And you can make a donation to the Friends of the John Curtis
\nLibrary while you are at it. It’s a win-win. I will be
\nauctioning off 4 Field Box seats to this season’s Father’s Day game
\n(6\/20\/10) against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Yes, you heard it,
\nManny’s back in town! The seats are on the first base line, Section
\n11, Box 10, row L, Seats 1 – 4. An anonymous Hanover resident has
\ndonated these seats in an effort to help the Friends of the John Curtis Library
\nfund programs like a live animal program and Kite Day, classical music
\nconcerts, passes to the New England Aquarium and the South Shore Science Center
\nand a Spanish story hour at our library.<\/p>\n

The 4 seats have total face value
\nof $520. The street value is probably $1,000! For those who are
\nrelatively new to this list, here’s how it works. Bidding will
\nbegin at $300 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday (6\/14), and will be accomplished simply by
\nsending an e-mail to cathyhb@atotw.com
\n. Once you enter a bid, you will be added to the distribution list that will
\nkeep you updated on the latest bid (as best as humanly possible!). Bids
\nwill be accepted until exactly 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (6\/15). If two bids
\nfor the same amount are received, the earlier bid will take precedence.
\nSo, it is to your advantage to bid your best price early. Bids received
\nby me after 11:00 a.m. (computer clock time) on Tuesday will not be
\nconsidered. So don’t wait until it is too late!<\/p>\n
