Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
This
\nsummer, Hanover Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church groups, garden clubs, baseball
\nteams, neighborhoods, friends, or anybody who wants to has the opportunity to
\nteam up and join Hanover’s “Water Challenge”, sponsored by
\nthe Town of Hanover in conjunction with the Greenscapes program at the North
\nand South Rivers Watershed Association. The winning team will earn $500 for
\nthe charity of their choice, and will learn some valuable water-saving tips
\nduring the challenge. <\/p>\n
Greenscapes
\nManager and NSRWA Communications Director Debbie Cook said, “The Water
\nChallenge basically is a contest between teams to see which team can use the
\nleast amount of water per person between July 15 and September 30. The most
\nwater-conserving team will win $500 for the charity of their choice.”
\nTeams can be any size beyond a minimum of 5 households. Individuals who want to
\nparticipate can join the Greenscapes team.<\/p>\n
Every
\nfew weeks during the contest, each team will receive water-saving tips to help
\nlower water consumption. Cook said, “I think everyone will be a winner,
\nwhether they win the $500 or not, because they hopefully will all save money on
\ntheir water bills.”<\/p>\n
