Looking
\nto get your kids out of the heat and do something fun? Drop in for a
\ncouple of FREE book-making events at the John Curtis Free Library. On
\nWednesday, July 14th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m., we’ll be
\nmaking a book about animals. On Wednesday, August 11th from 1:00
\n– 3:00 p.m., we’ll be putting together a book about vehicles. Alison
\nPalmucci, the former art teacher at the Center\/Sylvester School (and the new
\nart teacher at Cedar School), will be on hand to provide you with the name of
\nan animal (July) or vehicle (August) to draw. All the pages
\nsubmitted by Hanover children will be laminated and made into books which will
\nbe donated to the children’s room for all kids to read. Stay for 20
\nminutes or the full 2 hours to do your drawing (parents should not leave
\nthe library). This event is recommended for children ages 5 and up. Can’t
\nmake the drop-in times? Pages can also be made on your own the week
\nfollowing the events. Just ask a children’s librarian for a
\ncard with the name of an animal (July) or vehicle (August) on it. Cards
\nwill be available until the supply of 50 runs out (no more than 2 drawings per
\nchild, please). This event is funded by the Friends of the John Curtis
