The American Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive to
\nsupport the Hanover community blood supply for patients in need. Every two
\nseconds, someone in the United States needs blood, and every pint donated could
\nsave up to three lives. The Red Cross is urging Hanover residents to make an
\nappointment to donate blood at the below location by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or
\nlogging on to www.RedCrossBlood.org
\n.<\/p>\n

The American Red Cross Blood Services – Northeast Division
\nmust distribute approximately 3,000 units of blood each day just to meet the
\nbasic needs of area patients. Individuals who are at least 17 years of age (16
\nwith parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good
\nhealth may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and donors 18
\nyears of age and younger also have to meet certain height and weight
\nrequirements. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form
\nof positive ID when you come to donate.<\/p>\n
