The Annual Feast of the Portiuncula will be celebrated with
\nan outdoor Mass, co-sponsored by Cardinal Cushing Centers, St. Mary of
\nPortiuncula SFO Fraternity, and St. Mary of the Sacred Heart Parish, on Monday,
\nAugust 2 at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be said outside on the Cardinal Cushing
\nCenters Campus, before the Portiuncula Chapel, the final resting place of the
\nlate Richard Cardinal Cushing. The Cardinal founded the school for
\nchildren with special needs in 1947 together with the Sisters of Saint Francis
\nof Assisi of Milwaukee, WI. Cardinal Cushing Centers’ campus is
\nlocated at 405 Washington Street (Rte. 53), Hanover. The Mass will
\ninclude a blessing of the memorial bricks on path to the chapel. Music
\nwill be provided by St. Mary’s Music Ministry. In case of rain or
\nextreme heat, Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Church. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The entire day schedule for this special event is:<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
12 noon – Eucharistic Adoration, includes Exposition
\nuntil 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
3:00 p.m. – Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Reposition<\/p>\n
3:00 to 5:30 p.m. – Reconciliation on the Chapel
\ngrounds<\/p>\n
12:30 to 5:30 p.m. – Rosary, five decades every 30
\nminutes<\/p>\n
6:30 p.m. – Outdoor Mass<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
