The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (D.E.A.), along with the Hanover Board of
\nHealth and the Hanover Police Department, is coordinating a nationwide
\none-day event to take back unwanted medications on Saturday, September 25,
\n2010 at the Hanover Town Hall on Route 139 in Hanover, between the hours of
\n10 a.m. and 2 p.m. <\/p>\n
This national initiative will provide an opportunity for the public to
\nsurrender pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications to law
\nenforcement officers for destruction. Expired, unused or unwanted
\nsubstances in our homes are a potential source of supply for the increasing
\nabuse of pharmaceutical drugs in the United States and an unacceptable risk
\nto public health and safety.<\/p>\n
