{"id":951,"date":"2010-09-20T11:30:43","date_gmt":"2010-09-20T15:30:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=951"},"modified":"2010-09-20T11:30:43","modified_gmt":"2010-09-20T15:30:43","slug":"hanover-cultural-council-seeks-funding-proposals-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=951","title":{"rendered":"Hanover Cultural Council seeks funding proposals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Hanover Cultural  Council has<br \/>\nset an October 15, 2010 postmark deadline for organizations, schools and<br \/>\nindividuals to apply for grants that support cultural activities in the<br \/>\ncommunity.&nbsp; According to Council spokesperson Katie Duff, these  grants can<br \/>\nsupport a variety of artistic projects and activities in Hanover &#8212;  including<br \/>\nexhibits, festivals, short-term artist residencies or performances in  schools,<br \/>\nworkshops and lectures.&nbsp; The Council will also entertain funding  proposals from<br \/>\nschools and youth groups through the PASS Program, which provides  subsidies for<br \/>\nschool-age children to attend cultural field trips. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Hanover Cultural  Council is<br \/>\npart of a network of 329 Local Cultural Councils serving all 351 cities  and<br \/>\ntowns in the Commonwealth. The LCC Program is the largest grassroots  cultural<br \/>\nfunding network in the nation, supporting thousands of community-based  projects<br \/>\nin the arts, sciences and humanities every year.
