The Hanover Foundation for Educational Enrichment wishes to
\nthank all those in the community who contributed items or attended the yard
\nsale at the Town Hall on September 25th. The beautiful
\nweather ushered in a steady stream of shoppers. Over $430 was raised, all of
\nwhich will help fund educational enrichment programs for the Hanover Schools.
\n If you missed the opportunity to support the Foundation at the yard sale,
\nyou can still sign up to become a member and receive a free raffle ticket to
\nwin an Apple IPod touch 8GB MP3 player! Additional raffle tickets are $5
\neach.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The HFEE is an independent, non-profit organization
\nsupported by residents who care about quality education for our children.
\n Our purpose is to foster programs which provided educational enrichment
\nin the form of grants proposed by teachers, staff, and parents for the benefit
\nof all students. <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
To sign up and become a member, simply fill out the
\ninformation below along with a check for $15 payable to HFEE and mail it to
\nLarry DiNardo, 22 Birchwood Road in Hanover. If you have children in the
\nschools, you may send your membership and check into your child’s school
\nin an envelope marked “Hanover Foundation for Educational
\nEnrichment”.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The Foundation recently voted to allocate $15,000 toward its
\nannual Grant Awards Program for the 2010-2011 school year. Since
\nits inception, the Foundation has allocated more than $175,000 to fund
\nsuch projects as Dirt, Rachel’s Challenge, Food Play, Amazing Hero Art,
\nthe Clothesline Project, a rock climbing wall at the Middle School, document
\ncameras, potter’s wheels at the high school, and numerous technology
\ngrants for all grades. Funding for these grants is made possible through
\nthe ongoing generosity and support of the community.<\/p>\n
