Regular readers around town will remember the quiet courage
\nand spirit of Hanover’s Julie Porzio, who succumbed to cancer earlier
\nthis year. Her wish to have Friends of Julie live on after she was gone is a marvelous
\nreality thanks to her husband Mark and so many others. This just in from “Friends
\nof Julie”! <\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We are proud to announce that
\nFriends of Julie has been selected by Pizzeria Uno’s as their recipient of
\ntheir "Raise Dough for Charity" this month. So, on Thursday Oct. 21st,
\n20 percent of your total check will be donated to Friends of Julie. Please
\njoin us at Uno’s on Washington Street in Hanover (by the Mall) and help us
\nraise money for this worthy cause. All proceeds go to raise funds for parents
\nwith late stage cancer and their children. FOJ gives directly to the patient
\nto enhance the quality of life during treatment, therefore allowing the patient
\nto focus their energy on spending quality time with their family. Our goal is
\nto provide memory making opportunities which include day trips, extended
\nvacations, cruises and special events.<\/p>\n
