Absentee ballots

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Time has almost run out to get an absentee ballot if you will be out of
town during polling hours on Tuesday! Absentee ballots are also issued to
those with a physical disability, or to those whose religious beliefs
prevent them from coming to the polls on Election Day.

Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3rd at
Hanover High School. We will be voting to fill the vacancy caused by the
death of State Senator Thomas P. Kennedy.

If you need an absentee ballot, you must apply for one in the Town Clerk’s
Office on Monday, November 2nd, before 12 noon. Applications are also
available on-line at https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/ . All applications
must be received by 12 noon on Monday or they will not be processed.

If you have already applied for a ballot, it has to be returned to an
election official at the polls no later than 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ballots
received after that date will not be counted.

If you have further questions about absentee ballots, go to the Hanover
Town Clerk’s webpage at
http://www.hanover-ma.gov/town-clerk/pages/voter-registration-and-absentee-ballots
, or contact me, your devoted Town Clerk, at
catherine.harderbernier@hanover-ma.gov!
