Summer Raffle Baskets coming soon to the John Curtis Library

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Three summer raffle baskets will be at the library on July 5 until
Labor Day thanks to the Friends of the John Curtis Library. Get ready
to buy your chances for these incredible baskets and support the
library programs and passes that you enjoy!

Thanks to the many local businesses who have made donations, you might
win an American Girl Basket with Kanani (this year’s American Girl
Doll), her books, and many accessories (retail value of $200). The
Hanover Basket contains a $100 Bowling/Pizza Party for Four at Boston
Bowl Hanover, a $50 savings account at Hingham Institution for
Savings, $75 worth of toys from the Toy Box, a $25 gift certificate to
JC’s Ice Cream, 5 passes to the Patriot Cinemas, and much more
(retail value of $415). Best of all, the Good Life Basket contains two
RED SOX tickets (many thanks to Alvin Hollis), a 3-month Family
Membership to the South Shore YMCA, a bag of Trader Joe’s
bestsellers, a Jelly watch, and lots of exceptional and unique gift
certificates (retail value over $850). You can see all that these
baskets have to offer at the circulation desks.

The Friends of the John Curtis Free Library extend our sincere
gratitude to all of the wonderful local businesses who have made these
baskets possible: Alvin Hollis, the South Shore YMCA, Trader Joe’s,
Wild Birds Unlimited, Avitabile Fine Jewelers, Crossroads Café &
Deli, Gunther Tooties, Hilliards House of Candy, Curry ACE Hardware,
Nella Pasta, Sommer’s Bounty (excellent homemade jams and jellies),
Storybook Cove, the Toy Box, Hingham Institution for Savings, Rockland
Athletic Supplies, Shaw’s, Mamma Mia’s, JC’s Ice Cream, the
Pottery Playce, and Starland Sports and Fun Park. We urge patrons to
repay their community goodwill by using their services whenever
possible.

Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5 and may be purchased at the library
during regular library hours beginning July 5 until Labor Day. Buy
often and buy lots! We will draw the winning ticket right after Labor
Day. All proceeds from this event will benefit future library programs
and acquisitions. Thanks in advance for your support of this program
which will only enhance our already wonderful library.
