Historical Society program and dinner

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

John F. Gallagher, author of the new book "Rum, A Tailor’s Goose and a Soap
Box: Three Murderous Affairs in the History of Hanover, Massachusetts", will
be the featured speaker at a Hanover Historical Society meeting on Tuesday,
March 22, 2011. John, a retired Boston Police detective, has written a
fascinating book about historic murders in Hanover, and those who have heard
him say he is a great speaker. The meeting will be held at Phoenix Lodge,
133 Broadway, Hanover Four Corners. Join the Historical Society for social
hour at 6 p.m., a delicious roast pork dinner prepared by men of the Lodge
at 7 p.m., and program at 8 p.m. Cost of the meal is $15.00 (paid at the
door) and required reservations may be made until March 18 by e-mailing
nriver@gis.net or calling 781-829-4851 and leaving a message.

The Hanover Historical Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to
preserving and sharing Hanover history, with headquarters in the Stetson
House, 514 Hanover Street in Hanover. They are open each Wednesday from
2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Stop in and share your knowledge of Hanover or research a
topic of interest in our archives. They would love to have YOU as a member,
and membership can be yours for only $7.50 per individual, $15.00 per
family. Mail your check for membership to Hanover Historical Society, Box
