Happy Holidays to all!  Here are a few items and upcoming events that may be of interest to families:

“The Nuts and Bolts of Reading Instruction and How Parents Can Help”
For anyone who may have missed the seminar on Reading Instruction offered at Center School in November, the entire presentation is available on line.  If you would like to hear the presentation, please go to this website for the podcast:

There are extra copies of the handouts and anyone can have a set by calling or dropping by the Center School office.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS!  Next PAC meeting:  Tuesday, January 13th:  with our Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Ellen Harrington.  Please come and bring your questions!  This is our chance to ask questions and give feedback on Special Education services in Hanover.

Cardinal Cushing Centers has announced a Community Recreation Program for this upcoming Winter (January 7 – February 14, 2009).   The programs are open to all children in the area and offer a variety of late afternoon and Saturday activities including:  Boy Scouts/Girl Scouts, Drumming, Yoga, Nordic Skiing, Quilting, Art, Scrapbooking, Fitness, Cooking, Ballet, Basketball & Cheerleading.  They will also offer School Vacation and Summer programs as well as Special Olympic Sports.  Fees are listed in their brochure.  Download the complete brochure at:
