Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Now that the dust has settled and I have adjusted to the new software
that we are using for “Around Town on the Web” (ATOTW), I wanted
to take a moment to update all of you regarding the new procedures
needed to be added or deleted from the ATOTW e-mail distribution list.
If you or anyone you know would like to be added to ATOTW, please know
that we do not do so manually anymore! Please simply click on the link
that appears toward the bottom of every e-mail blast and follow the
directions thereafter. Or, if you don’t have a recent e-mail handy,
you may also go to www.atotw.com
and click on the tab at the top of the page that says “Sign Up!”
After doing so, you will receive an automated e-mail that asks you to
confirm that you wish to be signed up. Oftentimes such e-mails end up
in your spam filter or junk mail folder, so make sure you look for it
and then confirm your request to sign up. I just checked; we currently
have seven requested users who have not yet confirmed their interest
in being added!
The same basic procedures apply to requests to be dropped from ATOTW.
Find the link at the bottom of an e-mail, click on it and confirm your
wish to be dropped.
Even though we have gone to this automated sign-up system (that will
surely make my life easier given how large ATOTW has become), please
know that there is always a person behind the e-mails. Don’t
