Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Get those running shoes ready as the third annual Anchor Race is
almost here! The Hanover Newcomers Club is proud to host this four
mile road race/fitness walk on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The
professionally timed race begins at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar School. There
will also be a “Free Kids Run” prior to the race, scheduled for
9:00 a.m.
Prizes are awarded to top division winners. Register on-line to run or
walk at www.coolrunning.com
or in person on the day of the race. Donation is $25.00. Proceeds
from the race will be donated to the Hanover Foundation for
Educational Enrichment. The HFEE is a non-profit organization
supported by residents who believe in quality education for the
students in Hanover. To date, over $200,000 has been raised for
enrichment grants throughout the schools.
Residents along the race route are reminded to plan accordingly as
runners and walkers will be on the roads between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00
a.m. on October 2nd. The race route is Cedar Street to Main Street
through Stone Meadow to Whiting Street. Residents are also encouraged
to line the streets and cheer on the participants!
Entertainment and family activities will be provided. Race to be held
rain or shine.
