Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Calling all Hanover Moms! A benevolent Hanover mother has started a
grass-roots e-mail chain to help the Hanover Food Pantry this week.
The e-mail reads, in part, as follows:
“(I) wanted to ask everyone a HUGE favor. The Hanover Food Pantry is
so close to being empty and there are very few donations coming in. I
was hoping to get a huge delivery for next Monday. If you think about
it this week, could you please drop off an item(s) at your local
church, Shaw’s or Stop and Shop in Norwell. I know that Hanover Moms
can make a huge difference in the food pantry this upcoming week. :)
Thank you all for your time!!”
Another Hanover mom chimed in and sent along this information:
“I called them today and here are some of the specific items they
asked for:
Stop & Shop gift cards
Shaw’s gift cards
Canned fruit
Canned veggies
Snacks (i.e. crackers or lunch box items)
Tea
Coffee
Jello pudding/gelatin
Pancake mix
*Not* peanut butter”
I received a forward of this e-mail from 4 different people; I love
that Hanover Moms are helping each other and how grass-roots efforts
such as this one can make such a difference.
Let’s support our food pantry this week! Pssstt…pass the word to
all the moms you know!
