Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The Hanover High School Boys Soccer Team has earned a preliminary
round bye in the MIAA state soccer tournament and will host a home
tournament game vs. Mashpee High School at Hanover High on Monday,
November 7th at 7:00 p.m. The boys compiled a 12-3-3 record this
season, going unbeaten for a stretch of 6 weeks playing in the highly
competitive Patriot League. They are also Fisher Division Champions
for 2011!
The Hanover Girls Soccer Team also earned a preliminary round bye and
qualified for the MIAA state tournament. The girls will play today,
Sunday, November 6th against Old Colony Regional Vocational High
School at 1:00 p.m. at Old Colony. According to Hanover coach Garth
Nelson, the girls are having one of their best seasons in the past 5
or 6 years, and despite some big graduation losses last year, the
younger girls have stepped up to fill the void.
Tournament games are controlled by MIAA and have gate admission fees
of $5 adults / $3 students. For more information about Hanover High
soccer, please contact ATOTW ace reporter Geoff Hoffman at
