Hanover/Rockland HS gymnasts start strong

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
This just in from Kellyann Draheim, coach of the Hanover/Rockland High
School gymnastics team!
“Hanover/Rockland girls’ gymnastics came out of the gates strong
as they finished their first meet January 4th with a win over
Carver/Sacred Heart/Duxbury by a score of 124.6 to 120.2.
On floor, Kaitlyn Powers’ rivoting performance of a 9.2 awarded her
first place for Hanover, while her teammate, Brittany Ainslie, tied
for 2nd with an 8.6 with Carver’s Nate Singer. Marina Goba, also of
Hanover, received 3rd place with a personal best of an 8.4. Carver’s
Nicole Orlando placed first on bars with an 8.6, while Kaitlyn Powers
and Nate Singer tied for 2nd with 7.9. Hanover’s Mikaela Draheim,
took 3rd with a 7.5.
Kaitlyn Powers took another 1st on beam with a 7.9, Brittany Ainslie
tied with Nicole Orlando for 2nd with a 7.6, while Mikaela Draheim was
awarded 3rd place. Brittany Ainslie’s powerful vault was awarded
first place with an 8.9, while Kaitlyn Powers received third with an
8.35. On the all-around, Hanover’s Kaitlyn Powers finished strong
with a 33.3 winning her the honor of first place, while teammate
Brittany Ainslie was close behind with a 32.4, placing 2nd. Well done
Hanover/Rockland Girls High School Gymnastics!”
