Town Moderator Doug Thomson has some committee vacancies that have
come about mid year and would welcome discussing them with anyone who
is interested. There are two openings on the Advisory Committee and
one opening on the Open Space Committee. If you’ve been looking for
the right opportunity to get more involved in Hanover, now would be a

(Editor’s note: In this writer’s opinion, a term on the Advisory
Committee is absolutely the best way to get involved in and come to
understand the big picture of the town’s business. For all of you
who have been following the school budget picture for the first time
(or the 17th!) and who are wondering where the money comes from and
how it gets allocated, I strongly urge your involvement on the
Advisory Committee! Further, a mid-year opening is a nice way to get
