Will Marriner, Candidate for School Committee
Education:
B.A. Business and Administrative Studies
Lewis and Clark College, Portland OR
Work Experience:
I have worked for a Building Supply Company as an Outside Commercial
Sales representative for the last 15 years. The Skills that I use in
Business: Project Management, Communicating Clearly, Detail analysis
of Project Plans, Specification, Contracts and Proposals, process
evaluation, are all appropriate for the Needs of the School system.
Hanover Facts
Lived in Hanover for 16 years.
3 Children in the School System, 1 at the High School and 2 at the
Middle School
Coached Lego robotics at the Middle School and at Sylvester School
An Active Resident, coaching Girls Lacrosse for the last five years.
Starting the Hanover Girls U-15 Select Lacrosse Team this Year
Certified US Lacrosse Coach
Previously coached Soccer, T-ball, Baseball, Softball
School Committee Participation
Regularly attends and participates in School Committee meetings for
the last 3 years. Secure in the knowledge of the issues and concerns
facing the School System and the Town.
Believes that the School system exists for all of the children and
that their Education and Well Being
Reasons for Running
1) Concerns on the Efficiency of the School Administration and the
inconsistency of policies and procedures throughout the school system
2) Effective evaluation of Administrators
3) Budget Decisions
4) Concerns about the School Environment and the Current
Administration’s ability to provide a safe, secure and open
educational environment for all of the Students and Faculty to reach
their full potential.
