Veterans’ Reflections

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
There is a grass-roots effort afoot in town to bring together
Hanover’s veterans – so that we may all listen and learn from the
men and women who have served in the service during our country’s
wars and conflicts. “Around Town on the Web” is delighted to
support these efforts; read on!
The large meeting room at the John Curtis Library is reserved from
1:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. on Nov 3rd, 2012. We are hoping that veterans of
World War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and any of
the conflicts will be represented that afternoon at the library. If
you or someone you know would like to be a part of the afternoon,
please contact Dave Setterland at davidsetterland@gmail.com

or simply reply directly to this ATOTW e-mail. The format will be
relaxed and open; no need to sign up, though!
We hope to keep the program as an informal talk or round table where
men and women will sit back and feel comfortable while sharing any and
all of their experiences from during these times. The event is open to
the public and all who are interested are invited to attend.
There will be roughly 15 paintings on exhibition that day from WWI and
WWII. There will also be some paintings that depict the importance the
American railroad played in helping America to be the super power that
it took to keep world peace.
Stay tuned to “Around Town on the Web” for more details as they
unfold.
