Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Please come to the John Curtis Free Library for the 2nd Annual “Beyond
the Classroom,” an exhibit of original artwork by South Shore art
educators. This year, they are happy to present the works of over 20
teachers from 10 different towns on the South Shore. The show will run
from August 31 through October 29 at the library. Three judges will
select four pieces to receive awards. This year’s judges are Heather
Collins, Director of Community Programs at the South Shore Art Center;
Dr. Roger Dunn, Professor of Art History at Bridgewater State
University; and Ryan Collins, a sculptor and Visiting Lecturer at
Bridgewater State University. This event is free and open to the
public. All are cordially invited to attend the opening reception on
Saturday, September 15, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Refreshments will be
served. For more information, please visit www.beyond-classroom.org
or contact Alison Palmucci at 781-243-9188 or artwithalison@yahoo.com
. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Hanover
Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the
Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
