Damage from Sandy? Contact HEMA

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The following is a message from the Hanover Emergency Management
Agency:
If your home or business received damage from Hurricane Sandy, please
help the Town of Hanover complete the Initial Damage Assessment (IDA)
report. The IDA is the first step to determine if the Commonwealth of
Massachusetts and any of its counties may be eligible to receive
federal disaster assistance under a Presidential declaration.
To make sure we include your damage in our report, contact the Hanover
Emergency Management Agency during business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00
p.m.) by calling 781-826-3151, or anytime by e-mail at
hema@hanoverfiredept.com
. Be prepared to provide your name (or the name of your business), a
brief description of the type of damage, the estimated cost to repair
damage or replace damaged items, and insurance information if known.
Hanover must submit the IDA Report to the Massachusetts Emergency
Management Agency by 12 noon on Thursday, November 8th, 2012. Please
contact the HEMA as soon as possible before then.
