School supplies for the children of Haiti via an Eagle Scout candidate

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
As the mother of an Eagle Scout candidate, I am delighted to forward
this e-mail request from another industrious Eagle Scout candidate
here in Hanover! For those who may not know, Eagle Scout candidates
are required to do many hours of community service and organize the
efforts of others to assist with their Eagle project. The scout
benefits from the leadership skills they learn and the community
benefits from their hard work! In this case, I am also delighted to
help make the connection between Hanover’s own Kerline Tofuri of Jou
Nouvo in Haiti who has been previously featured here on “Around Town
on the Web” (go to www.atotw.com
and click on the “archives” for more information) and a Hanover
Eagle Scout candidate.
Please take a moment now to read about and consider supporting Andrew
Pensoneault’s Eagle Scout project as written here in his own words:
“My name is Andrew Pensoneault. I am a Boy Scout from Troop 1
Hanover, and am currently working on my Eagle Project. This involves
making and sending 100 backpacks filled with school supplies to Haiti.
I am working with a local organization, Jou Nouvo, on this project,
and am in need of supplies. What I need most is backpacks,
calculators, scissors, and pencil boxes. However, any school supplies
will be appreciated. The supplies can be dropped off at Riley Hall (in
the upstairs large room), at Saint Andrew’s, or at my home address, 9
Simmons Road (off of Mann’s Drive). I will be collecting supplies for
the next two weeks. I am also willing to pick up supplies if you
e-mail me. I can be reached at my e-mail, andrewpenn13@hotmail.com

.

Thank you,

Andrew Pensoneault”
(Editor’s Note: Congratulations in advance, Andrew, on your hard work
on behalf of the children of Haiti. Hanover is proud of you already!)
