Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Kids ages 8 – 12 are invited to a two-part workshop at the John Curtis
Library to learn how to take beautiful photographs from two award
winning photographers, Jeanne McKenna and Rosemary Sampson.
Saturday, April 13th from 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.: Learn tips about
lighting, setting up shots, and framing a photo, then head outside to
put the new skills you’ve learned to the test! Kids can bring their
own digital camera or buy a single-use disposable camera (about $10 at
CVS).
Saturday, April 20th from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.: Bring in some of
your favorite printed photos you took from the workshop and show them
off to your fellow photographers and our experts! The library will
then make a display of your fantastic photos.
Sign up at the Children’s Desk; there is no charge for this two-part
workshop. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the John Curtis
Free Library. For more information, please contact amaclean@ocln.org
