Dear fellow Hanoverians:
On Saturday, May 4 at 7:00 p.m., singer-songwriter Bill Staines will
perform a benefit concert for the youth mission trip in the sanctuary
of the First Congregational Church, 547 Hanover Street.
For over 40 years, Bill has traveled throughout North America singing
his songs and delighting audiences. He has recorded 26 albums
(including two children’s albums), written over 300 songs, and is
one of the most popular singers on the folk circuit today. Bill has
appeared on A Prairie Home Companion*, *Public Radio’s Mountain
Stage and HBO’s award winning series Deadwood. Many artists
including Peter, Paul and Mary, Makem and Clancy, Nanci Griffith,
Mason Williams, and Glen Yarborough have recorded Bill’s songs.
Refreshments will be served at intermission. Tickets are $16 for
adults and $7 for children ages 12 years and under. For tickets and
