HCTV logo contest for students

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hanover Community Television (HCTV) is looking for a new visual
identity and needs your help. HCTV is seeking current Hanover
students* who can design a creative, innovative and professional logo
design. The logo should be recognizable and help promote the
organization. The rest is up to you! Please read below for more
details regarding logo design, contest rules and submission
requirements.

How to Enter the Contest
The contest began on *April 22, 2013*. Submissions will be accepted
through *June 1, 2013*. Winners will be announced via the HCTV
website, social media websites and by direct contact to the winners’
contact information provided. In order for your entry to be submitted
and reviewed by the judges, all entries must be:
1. Submitted directly to HCTV through the online link on HCTV’s
website, or by e-mail to hanoverctv@hanoverschools.org

2. Submitted in their original source file.
3. Submitted by a student who lives or attends school in the Town of
Hanover*.

*Hanover students include any student (K-12) who resides in the Town
of Hanover, MA or attends any of the schools that are located in
Hanover, MA.

Logo Requirements
• *Professional*: This logo may be featured on the HCTV website,
social media platforms and other mediums (stationery, pamphlets,
t-shirts etc). As a result, while they want the logo to be
eye-catching, it must still be legible.
• *Color*: There are no limitations and any colors may be used.
However, the logo must look good in color (if any) or black and white.
• *Integrity*: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must
have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not
include images or licensed images that have been previously published.
Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small
formatting.

Contest Details
The Hanover Community Access Media Committee will select finalists.
The finalists’ designs will be on display at their booth at Hanover
Day where the public will vote for their favorite logo. The winning
logo will be decided based on public vote and committee vote.
Contestants agree that HCTV may publish their logo and name(s) and may
use both for advertising campaigns and/or marketing materials in the
future. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all
intellectual property rights to the logo, to HCTV. Additionally, HCTV
may alter, modify or revise the logo as it sees necessary to achieve
the goals of the Station. HCTV reserves the right to not select a
winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

Prize
Contest winner will receive a $500 scholarship (and bragging rights!).
