Absentee voting application information

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
The race for U. S. Senate is starting to heat up. Election Day is June
25th!
Massachusetts allows voters to vote by absentee ballot if you:
· will be absent from your city or town on election day, and/or
· have a physical disability that prevents your voting at the polling

place, and/or
· cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs.
You must first apply for an absentee ballot. Applications for an
absentee ballot are available here:
http://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/elepdf/absentee_ballot.pdf
. You may have an absentee ballot mailed to you or you may apply and
vote in one visit in person at the Town Clerk’s Office (lower level
of Town Hall) during regular town hall business hours. Plan to visit
the office as soon as possible; the Secretary of State recommends two
to three weeks before the election (meaning now!).
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is noon on June 24th. To
be counted, a completed ballot must be received by the time the polls
close on Election Day, Tuesday, June 25th.

For more information about absentee voting, go to

, or contact my office at clerk@hanover-ma.gov
