Stetson House museum update

Dear fellow Hanoverians,

Have you ever thought to yourself, “I have seen all that the Stetson
House Museum has to offer?” Well think again! The Hanover Historical
Society, which operates the Stetson House Museum, is making some
significant changes to the Museum this summer. The Museum will be
closing to the public June, July, and August with a grand re-opening
in the fall. When visitors return in the fall they will be greeted
with a welcome room, interactive displays, and a chronological tour
that will take visitors through time, with each room representing a
different era in Hanover history. The tour will highlight the objects
in the rooms and the families of Hanoverians who came before. From
this year forward, the tour will change themes every April, giving the
community a reason to keep returning to the Stetson House Museum.

While the Museum is closed for the summer, the Museum’s historic
barn will be open for an educational program called Colonial Kids each
Wednesday in July from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. The program will include
hands-on activities, dress up, and games from Hanover’s colonial
past. The program has a voluntary donation of $10 per family. No
reservations necessary. For more details call (781) 826-9575.

The Hanover Historical Society preserves Hanover’s unique heritage
through education, preservation, and sharing resources with the
public. Please help the Society sustain this mission for future
generations. If you would like to donate to the Hanover Historical
Society, please visit their website at
