Vacancy on the Board of Selectmen to be filled

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Cathy Harder-Bernier, Hanover’s Town Clerk, recently recommended to
the Board of Selectmen a Saturday, September 28th, 2013 Special Town
Election to fill the vacancy on the Board of Selectmen. The Board of
Selectmen has set the date of the Special Town Election for that day.
At an upcoming Board of Selectman’s meeting, Harder-Bernier will
recommend an Election Calendar, which establishes dates such as the
last day to submit nomination papers to the Registrar’s for
certification, and the last day to object or withdraw from candidacy,
along with the last day to register to vote.
Please be advised that all interested candidates for the vacancy on
the Board of Selectmen should obtain nomination papers from the
Clerk’s Office after the Selectmen set the Election Calendar.
Nomination papers need to be signed by 50 or more registered voters.
Interested candidates for the vacancy on the Board of Selectmen are
encouraged to ask questions of the Clerk’s Office during normal Town
Hall business hours. Harder-Bernier may also be reached at
Catherine.harderbernier@hanover-ma.gov

, or (781) 826-5000, ext. 1079, and Assistant Town Clerk JoAnne
O’Connor may be reached at the same phone number or
