College students needed!

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Hanover High School administration, teachers and parents have
collaborated to create a new idea for a college fair for Hanover High
Schools’ seniors. It’s called; *“My College Fair”* and will
take place on Friday, January 3rd at 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon at HHS.

This e-mail is sent in hopes that your son or daughter — and recent
Hanover High School graduate – would be interested in participating by
joining the fair at HHS on January 3rd. Your college student will
share their personal experiences at their college with high school
students looking at options after graduation. HHS students will
benefit from a more personal story from kids they may know and who are
closer to their own age, rather than just talking with colleges’
admissions officers. The group is also hoping to compile a list of
students’ contact information to serve as a resource for our HHS
students in case they have follow up questions about a particular
university, or perhaps need a connection if the student is planning a
tour or visit. To ensure the event is successful, the group hopes to
enlist 25-30 graduates, and they’re hopeful your son/daughter would
be interested. Lunch and snacks will be provided for all graduates
participating that day.

If you are the parent of a recent graduate, kindly ask your son or
daughter if they’d be interested in attending this event scheduled
for Friday January 3rd, for one or both sessions, 9:00 a.m. and 12
noon/./ It would be ideal if they could proudly wear their school
colors: t-shirt/sweatshirt. No need to rehearse a speech; students
will just like their honest opinion and personal experience and
perhaps a little background on their major and what led them to their
particular school. The organizers will supply the grads with sample
questions so they can have an idea of what students might be asking.

If your son/daughter is interested, please e-mail Kathi at
kathi@ktdesigngraphics.com
or Tricia at christricia@comcast.net
as soon as possible so they can create a list of institutions that
will be represented and provide your kids with more details about the
event. They are hoping to have as many institutions represented as
possible.
