Dear fellow Hanoverians:
At 12 years old, life should be full of friends and fun. The biggest
worry kids should have to face is extra homework assignments or tests
to study for. For Hanover’s Anthony Pierotti, diagnosed with
leukemia this January, his worries got a whole lot bigger. He has been
admitted to Children’s Hospital in Boston and is undergoing intensive
treatment, which is expected to take about 2 years to complete.
Anthony has an amazing medical team and is surrounded by family,
including his parents Jim and Brenda, twin brother Nick, and his
younger brothers, Matt and Owen. They have a long road ahead and will
need every bit of support they can get. We know the Pierottis can’t do
this alone, but we also know their Hanover community would never let
them!
A website, Hope for Anthony, was created to help community members
offer strength and support to Anthony and his family, and to provide a
way for the youngest members of our community, Anthony’s friends, to
tell him how much they care. It also details ways that we can support
the family through various fundraising options, including donations,
Anthony Strong and Think + T-shirts, Anthony wristbands, and a link to
a Meal Train site that organizes meal drop-offs for the family.
Attached please find images of some of the items that are being sold
to raise funds.
Hanover Middle School will be having a “Stay Positive for Pierotti”
Day on March 14. They are encouraging students and staff to rally
around the Pierottis with a visible show of support, wearing one of
the Anthony shirt options or something orange, the color most often
associated with leukemia.
Visit the Hope for Anthony site at

to see how Anthony is doing, make a donation or purchase a t-shirt.
You are encuoraged to send a message or upload an image to share. It’s
hard for cancer patients to endure their treatments and the long days
spent in the hospital; being surrounded by love and support can make
it a little bit easier. Keep sending Anthony well wishes and stories
from home so he doesn’t feel alone. For more information, contact
