Dear fellow Hanoverians:
Please join the Professional Firefighters of Hanover on September 27th from
10:00 a.m.?to 3:00 p.m. at B. Everett Hall Field in the center of town
for their Third Annual Touch A Truck Fundraiser. This will be another fun
filled family event that offers kids and?adults alike a chance to see the
big rigs and equipment that travel through our community every day! This
year is bigger than years past with the ability to get up close to, touch
and climb?inside and out of over 30 vehicles that will be on display!
The growing list of participants includes: Town of Hanover public safety
vehicles, P.A. Landers, Capeway Towing, Pilgrim Propane, Ingle
Bus,?Gallant Grader, Pilgrim Paving, Duxbury Fire Department,
Massachusetts National Guard, Village Green Landscape, JF Price and many
more!?
Along with the vehicles and other equipment will be food, music, face
painting, an ice cream truck, raffles, t-shirts for sale, a balloon artist
and bounce houses. This year will once again feature Child Safety Seat
Installation Information sponsored by the Hanover Police Department and
Child ID Kits sponsored by the Plymouth County Sheriff. There will also be
vendors and other participants such as Edaville USA, South Shore
Children’s Museum and Elite Football Academy to name a few. And don’t
forget about the “legendary” ladder truck candy drop!
Come on down to B. Everett Hall Field (near the Bandstand) and?bring the
family for what promises to be another great time for all! Admission will
be a “suggested donation” of $3 per person or $5 for two people; maximum
$20 per family. This event is a fundraiser for a community organization or
program. In the two previous years, proceeds went to the American Liver
Foundation and Hanover Food Pantry, respectively. Proceeds this?year
will be used to purchase, install and promote an AED at Forge Pond Park.
